Machine learning systems for complex sensor data.Grounded in more than a decade of R&D and product development, I architect machine learning and signal processing systems for complex physiological and physical sensor data.Whether you're building on existing datasets, working with off-the-shelf wearables, or developing frontier hardware where target data doesn't exist yet, I combine first-principles domain knowledge with modern AI to turn raw signals into reliable, field-ready products.

I work across the product development lifecycle: from early-stage R&D through system prototyping to deployment.R&D Strategy & Technical Architecture: Defining the signals, sensors, and machine learning approaches throughout the hardware and product design process.Custom Model Development: Signal processing pipelines, neural network architectures, and transfer learning systems built concurrently with novel sensor hardware. Specializing in problems where target data is scarce and noisy.Technical Advisory: Ongoing scientific and architectural partnership for teams navigating sensing, modeling, or validation decisions as products mature. How engagements begin: A short conversation to understand your goals and what you're building.
I build AI systems that decode signals from the brain and body, combining first-principles biophysics with machine learning to create models that extend beyond controlled lab settings. My technical focus is signal processing, neural network architectures, and data quality, grounded in physiology, dataset design, and experimental design.I work closely with hardware teams as sensing designs evolve and with end users to ensure models are trained on data that reflects real-world conditions.I’ve worked across EEG, EMG, fNIRS, PPG, OPM-MEG, and multimodal systems, from consumer devices to clinical ER environments. My research in deep learning for neural signals is highly cited and includes work that became a widely used benchmark in the field.Today, I work independently with teams developing sensor-driven and biosensing products.
